
West Wind House Rules
Please take a moment to read these House Rules . If anything is unclear, please contact us so we can explain in further detail to avoid any misunderstandings.
A contract between us will come into existence when a payment is received, and a booking confirmation is issued by us showing your confirmed holiday dates. It is your responsibility to ensure that all members of your party accept the terms of the contract.
Booking, cancallations

All cancellations must be notified in writing. We strongly advise that you take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellations. If you choose not to, then vou accept responsibility for an loss that vou may incur due to vour cancellation.
Your booking will not be cancelled by us except in exceptional circumstances beyond our control, which may include Government policy relating to Covid (or other) restrictions.
Notification will be given of the cancellation as soon as possible.
In the case of a cancellation by us as described above, you may choose an alternative date, subject to availability and terms at that time, or we will refund in full all payments made to us by you.
Our liability for cancellation will be limited to the payments you have made to us.
Housekeeping, cleaning, pets and smoking
We accept well behaved pets in our holiday home in the main open plan living area but not in the carpeted areas. Due to other guests allergies please do not allow pets in the carpeted areas or on the furniture. Strictly no pets in the bedrooms. Pet bowls and a garden stake with line can be provided please specify when booking, the garden is pet friendly but some plants may not be suitable for dogs, small dogs may fit through the gates and larger dogs could scale the low walls.
Smoking/vaping is not acceptable anywhere in the house, so only outside if you must and please dispose of extinguished stubs carefully in the wheelie bin.
These conditions must be strictly adhered to and any damage or extra cleaning caused by pets or smoking will be chargeable.
Maximum number of Guests, visitors
West Wind is designed to be used by a maximum of 8 people using 3 King bedrooms and 2 single bunk beds. We will not accept bookings for larger groups, and only those listed on the booking form can stay in the property. If we are given evidence that a larger group has stayed in the property then we reserve the right to charge an additional booking fee of £100/person/day.
Overnight visitors or camping in the grounds of the property are strictly not allowed. We reserve the right to terminate the booking immediately (and without notice or refund) in case of a breach of this condition.
You may not re-let or sublet the property under any circumstances, even free of charge.
Security, keys
We suggest that you leave the front door key in the key safe when you go out (we have had an incidence of lost keys!) and please make sure you lock all the doors and close the windows when you leave the property unoccupied. Please do not share the key code with anyone outside your party.
We are not responsible for the loss of any your personal belongings or valuables.
If you do lock yourselves out then we might be able to help, but we cannot promise an immediate response time. Please note that if any keys issued are not returned at the end of your stay, then the cost of replacement will be charged to you.
Equipment, TV, WIFI
We have SKY Stream TV with Sky Entertainment and Netflix. We have good WIFI speed and signal for TV channels through Freeview. We currently have a smart TV with access to all the popular apps. We politely ask that you do not purchase extra movies/sport or programmes.
We are not able to offer compensation if there is any temporary outage of electricity, gas, water, internet connection or television service. We also cannot be liable for any temporary defect or malfunction of any equipment or appliance, but we will do our best to resolve any problems which may occur during your stay.
Linen/laundry
All linen is provided for your stay, including tea towels, bath mats, oven gloves etc. You may wish to bring your own beach towels - please do not use our white bath towels for the beach. Please feel free to use our washing machine, clothes line and pegs, and tumble drier (in the garage/utility room).
Parking
Please do not park your car, or any visitors' cars, on the private road outside West Wind - mainly because you will be trespassing but also you will be spoiling our neighbour's views. There is plenty of space to park at least 4 cars in the front driveway.
Noise, neighbours, garden and BBQ
Please enjoy the garden and patio but always be mindful of our friends and neighbours living nearby and try to keep noise levels down after 11.00pm and before 8am.
Please feel free to use the charcoal barbecue which is stored in the garage utility room. You will need to bring/buy your own charcoal. We are unable to clean the BBQ and griddle racks after each guest so we ask that you leave everything in as clean a condition that you would wish to find it yourselves.
We reserve the right to terminate a holiday without compensation if we hear that unsociable behaviour may be spoiling the enjoyment, comfort or health of our neighbours.
We have a large back garden and a smaller front garden with a patio and teak garden furniture. Please allow our gardener access to cut the grass and undertake routine maintenance, which may be done on any day during your stay.
Problems, complaints
Please report any problems or complaints to us immediately and we will do our best to resolve any issues in a timely manner. We welcome all suggestions and comments but we cannot consider any complaints if reported only after you have returned from your holiday.

Damage, accidents
We enjoy using West Wind as our private family holiday home, as well as letting the house to guests for a limited number of weeks in a year. We hope that everyone will treat West Wind with the same respect that they would their own home, so that other guests following on may do the same.
We understand that accident's will happen - if you notice something is damaged, or if there have been any breakages during your stay, we would be grateful if you could report them to us promptly, especially before check-out, so that we can take appropriate action for incoming guests. We (or our representatives) might need to enter the house at any time to undertake essential maintenance or for inspection purposes, but we will notify you beforehand should the need arise.
Arrival, Check-out and changeover day
On changeover day, Guests may arrive at 4pm at the earliest. Please vacate no later than 10.30am on the day of departure. We politely ask that you empty the kitchen bins, stack the dish washer and turn it on. Remember to remove your food from the fridge/freezer, place all used linen in black bin liners, and place the key in the key safe taking special care to scramble the numbers and close the cover - thank you!
